An Honest Answer About Your Roof's Condition
We do not believe every roofing problem means you need a new roof. We start with a free inspection, explain what we find and let you know whether a repair still makes sense or whether replacement is the better long-term option.
If the roof does need to be replaced, we will walk you through the materials, price and expected schedule before work begins. You will know what we are doing and why we are doing it.
We are a local, family-owned company, and homeowners work directly with our team throughout the project. No high-pressure sales pitch—just an honest look at the roof and a clear plan for taking care of it.
Signs a Roof May Need Replacement
When Is It Time to Replace Your Roof?
- Leaks that keep returning after repairs
- Shingles that repeatedly lift or blow off
- Widespread wind, hail or storm damage
- Cracked, curled or badly worn shingles
- An older roof nearing the end of its life
- Soft or damaged roof decking
- A roof that has become a cycle of patches and temporary fixes
Repair or Replacement? We’ll Give You an Honest Answer
If your roof can still be repaired properly and provide reliable protection for your home, we will let you know and explain what the repair involves. If replacement makes more sense based on the roof’s age, condition, or extent of the damage, we will explain why and provide an honest recommendation. We will walk you through your options, answer your questions, and help you choose the solution that makes the most sense for your home and your budget.
What to Expect During Your Roof Replacement
1. Free Inspection and Estimate
We inspect the roof, explain what we see and provide a clear estimate. If a repair is still a reasonable option, we will tell you that too.
2. Choosing the Roofing Materials
We help you select shingles that fit the home, budget and level of protection you want. Before installation, we order the materials, schedule the project and coordinate any required permits.
3. Protecting the Property
Before tear-off begins, we tarp landscaping and take care around the siding, windows, driveway and other areas surrounding the home.
4. Tear-Off and Decking Check
We remove the old shingles and roofing materials to prepare the home for its new roof. Once the roof is opened up, we check the decking for damaged or deteriorated wood. If we find anything that needs to be replaced, we let the homeowner know before moving forward.
5. Installing the New Roofing System
We install ice and water protection, underlayment, starter shingles and the selected shingles. We also address pipe boots, flashing and roof ventilation as needed for the home.
6. Cleanup and Final Inspection
After the roof is complete, we remove the project debris, perform a magnetic cleanup and inspect the finished work.
More Than Just New Shingles: Real Roof Replacements Completed by Capstone
A roof is a complete system—not just the shingles you see from the ground. Underlayment, ice and water protection, starter shingles, flashing, pipe boots and ventilation all play a part in keeping the home protected.
We install dependable roofing products based on the home, roof design and homeowner’s priorities. Our recent projects include Owens Corning Duration and Duration FLEX shingles in several colors.
We will explain the options before the project begins so the homeowner knows exactly what is being installed.
These are real projects completed by our crew in Carmel, Fishers and Noblesville. We believe homeowners should be able to see the actual work—not stock roofing photos.

This large Carmel roof was older and had storm damage throughout. We removed the existing roofing system and installed Owens Corning Duration shingles in Driftwood. At approximately 140 squares, this was a much larger and more complicated project than an average residential roof. Our crew completed it in about three days.
